The day began with the morning assembly presented by the students of grade 5 A and B. The theme of the assembly was ‘Peace’ where the students reflected on the importance of Peace in the world.
In the homerooms we began our day with the students presenting their Summative assessment PPTs on different ecosystems/biomes to explain the central idea- Biodiversity relies on maintaining interdependent balance within the system.
Next the students discuss & planned out for their assembly presentation on Monday. The students decided the theme for their assembly as ‘Global Warming’ as students wanted to generate awareness about this problem. The students discussed the different activities that they would present. Students also made posters on Global Warming.
In Math the students revised the concept of fractions- Simple and Mixed fractions, Addition of fractions( like denominators/unlike denominators) and simplification of fractions. Students did practice worksheets based on these concepts.
