ANNUAL SPORTS DAY REHEARSALS ON 3RD FEBRUARY, 2012

Dear Parents,

There will be no school for Nursery to PP2 Classes on Friday, the 3rd of February, 2012.

Kindly note that Sreenidhi Annual Sports Day 2011-12 will be celebrated at our Aziz Nagar Campus on Saturday, 4th February, 2012.  The programme details along with the invitation will be forwarded to you in due course.

The Annual Sports Day Rehearsals for the students of Grades 1 to 12 will take place at our Campus on Friday, 3rd February, 2012.

Buses arrive at Campus      :     2.00 PM

Buses leave campus          :     6.45 PM

Due to the nature of the activity involved on the sports field, we request the parents to provide early lunch to the children (between 12.00 & 12.30 PM) at home.  We will be providing sufficient snacks & juices in the evening at school.

The pick-up timings for your ward for 3rd & 4th February, 2012, will be intimated to you by the Transport Dept.

SPORTS DAY – 2010-11

Dear Parents,

The Sports Day 2011 – 2012 is scheduled for Saturday, 4th February, 2012. The T-Shirt for the students of Grades 1–5 is available on the school campus. You are requested to send Rs. 250/- through your ward (in a sealed envelope with your wards name and class on it) for the same latest by Wednesday, 1st February, 2012.

Sports Day attire:       1)  All the students will come in their sports uniform and shoes.

2) You are requested to send the full length dark blue (Navy Blue) Denim jeans (in a labeled packet) with your ward by Thursday, 2nd February,2012 for the Sports Day.

Students will be provided snacks on campus. Kindly ensure that your child carry his/ her school bag and water bottle.

Grade 5 A Update- 2nd February 2012

Our day began with the run through of the sports day.  In our homeroom, the students continued with the given task of research on how and why the selected civilizations developed. They used the resource books available in homeroom, laptops, classroom computer and went to the library to collect information on the same. The students also went to the ICT lab for further research work. They recorded the information collected in their UOI notebooks.

The students also went for dance and drama.

Additional Language Hindi: The students did a comprehension worksheet – Pani Amrit Hai . Some students wrote varnmala and made words using chandra bindu.

Grade 5A Home Room Teacher

Grade 4 A- 2nd February, 2012

The day began with the morning assembly presented by the students of grade 3 A followed by the March Past Practice.

In the homerooms we began our day with sharing our understanding of the poem- My Mother’s Kitchen. Next the students brainstormed & researched on the different types of Poems. The students identified the following main types of poems-

  • Acrostic poems
  • Epic poems
  • Ballad poems
  • Allegory poems
  • Nature poems
  • Autobiographical/Biographical poems
  • Historical poems
  • Patriotic poems
  • Rhyming poems
  • ABC poems etc.

The students also discussed that the two types of poems – Autobiographical & Historical poems are related to their current UOI. They chose these forms of poem to work on.

The students did a mental Math sheet on the concept of simplification of fractions. Next the students did a few problems based on the concept of Factors & Multiples & LCM.

Hindi: Meethe bol Natak ke shabdarth.

Spanish: Revision of common phrases in Spanish.

Grade 3C- Happenings 2nd February, 2012

Today we started our day with the run-through for the sports day. In the unit of inquiry the students researched on how did they explore?

In TD Language the students were given few sentences and were asked to change the sentence in to past tense and future tense.

In TD Math students drew straight line with the given length.  Later they were given with one worksheet on distance conversions.  The students went for their dance class.

Additional language –

Hindi – The students did reading on keral yatra story, wrote meanings for new shabd. H.W keral yatra reading worksheet is given.

Telugu –   

  • The students listens the humours story.
  • The   students recite the poem    -bratikinnanni- telugubala.
  • The students wrote paragraph –ukthalekhanamu.

Our day started with the Sports Day practice. In the circle time we enjoyed playing “Japanese whisper” and discussed regarding Sports Day. We visited Administration department  to know how people there are interconnected with the other people of different department in our school and reflected back the same in our homeroom. 

Additional Language:

Hindi: The students wrote words of ‘AU’ matra and framed sentences. Some students wrote varnmala, recited poem, framed sentences and questions. 

Telugu: The students read the story of butterfly and revisited othulu(ka-to-bandira) by writing in groups. They revisited KHA-othu, padaalu and collected the KHA othu pictures.

French: The students learnt classroom objects and  «Avoir» expression with «faim».

We visited the Administration department to know how people are interconnected with the other people of different department in our school and wrote new words they learnt on the word wall. Grade 1 B , 2nd February 2012

We started our day with the Annual Sports Day rehearsal. In our UOI  we discussed proper food habits. The students came up with – eating food at fixed hours, eating clean food, eating healthy food, eating covered food etc.

In TD Language the students picked up any 5 words from the word wall and used them in sentences.  In Math we did addition and subtraction sums.

The students went to the ICT class.

In Additional Language class-

Telugu - The students matched the words with pictures.
2.      The students listened the story &they reflect their feelings through drawing.
3.      The students recited the poem –chinni chinnibomma

Hindi -The students revisited varnmala and some of them wrote simple sentences. some of them made ” e” matra words and sentences.

Grade 4C Update 2nd February 2012

Today, the students first had their breakfast and went on the field for the run through of the Sports Day.

The students were given a piece of writing. After reading it, they identified that it is in the form of poetry. Then the students shared their understanding about poetry and listed down the various types of poetry they were aware of. The students also wrote the understanding of the poem in their own words. The students enjoyed their Dance class.

The students completed a Mental Math sheet on Measurement.
